Junior Duke Award

We are incredibly proud that we offer children the opportunity to participate in the Junior Duke Award.  This is a new scheme that we have recently introduced for our Year 2 children and encourages the development of valuable life skills. Students gain confidence, resilience and adaptability when embarking on the programme and by taking part in the award, the children become better equipped to deal with everyday challenges. Children love to do things without help, they simply need the time and space to explore, learn from their mistakes and to learn to be safe.  Working together in a small friendly group promotes independence, belonging and achievement and also gives the children a voice.

This term Freddie Joe, Ashleigh May, Max, Jesse, Nate and Anaya have started the Junior Duke Award and have strted by learning how to make cups of tea and serve them to the some of the staff.
